Who We Are

What InkEthos Stores

InkEthos stores client contact details (name, phone, email), conversations including SMS and Instagram messages, photos, and appointment and payment records. This data is stored on behalf of the tattoo artist or studio you book with.

Why We Store This Data

InkEthos processes this data to run the artist’s client relationships: scheduling and managing appointments, sending booking notifications and reminders, processing payments, and keeping conversations in one place for the artist to manage and respond to.

Third-Party Services

Twilio: Client phone numbers and SMS text content flow through Twilio’s service, the carrier gateway our texts are sent and received through.Stripe: Payment card details and transaction information are processed by Stripe to handle payment collection and artist payouts.Meta (Instagram): When an artist connects their Instagram account, InkEthos accesses that account’s direct messages so the artist can read and answer them within the app.

Instagram Direct Messages

When an artist connects their Instagram account to InkEthos, the app receives and stores that account’s client direct messages so the artist can read and reply to them in one place. Disconnecting Instagram in Settings stops all processing of new messages. Message data is retained until the artist deletes it from InkEthos; deletion requests are honored promptly on request to support.

SMS and Mobile Information

InkEthos LLC is the sender of the text messages in the InkEthos Appointment & Message Notifications program, which we send about your booking with your artist. You opt in by explicitly checking the separate, optional SMS consent checkbox on the booking form, or by texting the InkEthos number first — providing your phone number alone does not opt you in. Your phone number and SMS opt-in consent are used solely to send the appointment and message notifications described in our Terms of Service and on our SMS Program page. No mobile information will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver those messages (such as Twilio). Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time.
